The Birkenhead Bowling Club opened its doors in 1944 and has developed
into a valuable recreational, social and sporting amenity for North Shore
City. Our Club is situated in the heart of Birkenhead and we are proud
to be an active contributor to our community.
We have a strong and growing men's and women's membership:
- Competitive players - We have a proud history of Centre, Regional,
National and World Champions, including Tony Grantham, 2007 World Champion
of Champions and New Zealand National Singles Champion.
- Roll up members - For those who prefer playing for fellowship
and fun.
- New bowlers - Play mid week, half day, evenings, the choice
is yours. Never bowled before? No worry - we will provide you with
free coaching AND free 1st year membership.
- Social members - Join us and enjoy being a member of one of
North Harbour's most progressive sports/social clubs.
We have sets of club bowls available for new bowlers, social bowls and
corporate bowls.
Bowls Birkenhead is a progressive go-ahead club. Our members enjoy:
- Two of the best greens in Auckland. We play summer
and winter.
- Excellent facilities (available for company and private functions),
including:
- Big screen Sky Sports TV
- Gaming room
- 2 Bars
- Pool Table
- Darts
- Trackside TV
- Sunset Deck
- Off street parking
which we're constantly improving.
- A welcoming, friendly and social atmosphere.
