Bowls Birkenhead is proud to be the venue for the Under 25 and Under 18 Trans-Tasman tests to be held 26 - 28 February 2010. The Teams will also be practising at our Club on Wednesday, 24th and Thursday, 25th February.

Women's Open Pairs Tournament

Newport Club Visit - Join in the fun

The Newport Harbour Bowling Club in Orange County, California. Newport Harbour is a sister club of Birkenhead and is a link on our website.

A tour party of 18 men and women from that Club arrive in NZ on the 2 March. They all bowl although most of them are social bowlers.

The programme has yet to be finalised but, according to Phil Gibb, it is likely to be:

Member rollup in the morning.
Tour party arrive around midday for lunch (probably BBQ)
Mix and mingle rollup in the afternoon

After our club they travel on through NZ visiting other bowling clubs.

Ross "trust me" Murray Tournament - Fun for all

Saturday, 13 February 2010 - 9.30am start

Prizes include $100 to the winner

Entries on the Board at the top of the stairwell. Same format as previous years. (Ask Ross.)
Note - The tournament is being held on the weekend to allow all Women and Men playing members to enter.

Ross has volunteered to do ALL the measuring for the day. TRUST ME!!!!

Centre closing dates fast approaching

Note: the closing dates mentioned below are the dates they close with the Centre Secretary, to be on the safe side make sure you have your entry in to the Birkenhead Club Secretary by the Sunday prior.

Womens Centre Singles (open and 5yr & Under) to be played over November 14th and 15th.

Entry forms in your Centre Handbooks on Page 129 - 133, Entry fee of $12.00, close Friday 23rd October.

Men's Centre Triples (Dickbree Memorial Trophy) to be played over November 14th and 15th.

Entry forms in your Centre Handbooks on Page 129 - 133, Entry fee of $12.00, close Friday 23rd October.

Mens and Womens Centre Pairs to be played on 28th / 29th November. Open and 5yr & Under players, $12 Entry fee.
